COPLA - ELAC
El comite Consultivo de apredices del idioma Ingles (ELAC) es un grupo de padres y maestros que trabajan para que los estudiantes que tienen el ingles como segundo idioma cumplan con los requisitos.
Este comite se esfuerza para que los padres de familia esten informados y les da la oportunidad de expresar algun problema o situacion que les este afectando a ellos o sus estudiantes de Carpinteria High School.
Una buena comunicacion y participacion traera como resultado un mayor compromiso el cual por consecuencia se vera reflejado el nivel academico de los alumnos. El objetivo del comite es de Instruir a los papas en materia del Sistema Educativo de este Pais y la importancia que tiene la asistencia de los alumnos a clase.
El gobierno Estatal y Federal requiren por Ley que si un Distrito Escolar cuenta con mas de 50 estudiantes que esten aprediendo el idioma Ingles se tiene que formar un comite (DELAC) que apoye a los estudiantes en sus necesidades. Si una escuela cuenta con mas de 20 alumnos que tengan el Ingles como Segundo idioma se tiene que formar un grupo (ELAC) en dicha Escuela para que asu vez la respresente en el Distrito Escolar.
Los grupos ELAC se deben de reunir al menos 4 veces al año. El grupo de Carpinteria High School se reune cada mes y todas las reuniones son en español. Contaremos con talleres y temas diferentes en cada reunion.
The English Language Learners Advisory Committee (ELAC) is a group of parents and teachers who work for students who have English as a second language to meet the requirements.
This committee strives to keep parents informed and gives them the opportunity to express a problem or situation that is affecting them or their Carpinteria High School students.
Good communication and participation will result in a greater commitment which will consequently reflect the academic level of the students. The purpose of the committee is to instruct the parents in the matter of the Educational System of this Country and the importance of the attendance of the students to class.
The State and Federal government require by Law that if a School District has more than 50 students learning English, a committee (DELAC) must be formed to support students in their needs. If a school has more than 20 students who have English as a Second Language, a group (ELAC) must be formed in that School so that it can also be represented in the School District.
ELAC groups must meet at least 4 times a year. The Carpinteria High School group meets every month and all meetings are in Spanish. We will have different workshops and topics at each meeting.
