NCAA & NAIA Requirements

The NCAA has created an Internet site that provides prospective student-athletes and parents with pertinent information about the college recruitment and eligibility process. This also now the preferred way for students to register for the Clearinghouse! It can be accessed at: https://web3.ncaa.org/ecwr3/

Free NCAA Online Course

In partnership with the National Federation of State High School Associations, the NCAA Eligibility Center has developed a free online NCAA Initial-Eligibility Course. Counselors and coaches can visit NFHSLearn.com and complete this free initial-eligibility course, which will familiarize them with the Division I and II academic requirements, as well as the Eligibility Center’s registration and certification processes required for college-bound student-athletes.

Transcripts: Once you have completed the NCAA'a online registration you will need to send two transcripts to the NCAA:

As with all other transcript orders you will complete an OPHS Transcript Request form and pay for it at the Student Store. On the Transcript Request form you will need to list the NCAA as the destination and include your NCAA registration number on the form. For more information on ordering CHS transcripts go to our Transcripts web page.

The NAIA is an alternative organization to the NCAA. The NAIA recruitment process is less cumbersome, with fewer restrictions on the contact a student-athlete and coach can make.
